DESIZING AGENTS
To improve and expedite the weaving process, different sizing agents are used on fabric. To remove these sizing agents, process of de-sizing is used so that the agents/chemicals used in sizing process can be eliminated from the fabric. If sizing agents are not removed, it will lead to uneven dyeing resulting in uneven finish in final goods. In the process of de-sizing, not only sizing agents but also some natural impurities are also eliminated from fabric. The de-sizing process can be of Physical or Chemical or combination of both. Two main desizing processes are followed in industry; The Hydrolytic Method and The Oxidative Method.
